Russell Johnson from Robert Morris has earned StatSheet's NEC Player of the Week award for February 25th. StatSheet's NEC Freshman of the Week is Mount St. Mary's's Shivaughn Wiggins. And last but certainly not least, Shaq Shannon from Quinnipiac has won StatSheet's NEC 6th Man of the Week. Johnson had great stats in assists (3 per game), scoring (15 pts per game), and rebounding (9 per game). The Robert Morris senior put these numbers up in wins versus Monmouth and Fairleigh Dickinson.

Johnson led scoring and rebounding for the Colonials with 20 points and 7 rebounds in a 77-65 win over Monmouth. That was followed by a team-leading 11 rebounds and an additional 5 assists in a huge 89-46 win against Fairleigh Dickinson.

This is the first time this season that Russell Johnson has been named StatSheet NEC Player of the Week. However, he has received an honorable mention. The runner-up this week is sophomore Lucky Jones from Robert Morris. Honorable mention goes to Ike Azotam, a sophomore from Quinnipiac. The highest ranking player from Monmouth was Dion Nesmith who finished 15th.

StatSheet NEC Freshman of the Week: Mount St. Mary's's Shivaughn Wiggins

Shivaughn Wiggins averaged 35 minutes starting both games for Mount St. Mary's. His average in free throws (5.5 per game) topped all NEC freshmen. In an 83-71 win over Long Island, Wiggins registered 13 points and 4 rebounds. Then in a 73-65 win over St. Francis (NY), he added 11 points and 3 assists.

Shivaughn Wiggins has won the StatSheet NEC Freshman of the Week an astounding 3 times. The runner-up is Ben Millaud-Meunier from St. Francis (PA). Honorable mention goes to Brandon Peel from Central Connecticut State. Tyrone O`Garro, who finished 4th, was the highest ranking freshman for Monmouth.

StatSheet NEC 6th Man of the Week: Quinnipiac's Shaq Shannon

Shaq Shannon, a junior and a 6-1 guard, averaged 29 minutes over two games for the Bobcats. In an 81-74 win against Sacred Heart, Shannon put up 11 points and 4 rebounds. After that, in a 69-58 win over Bryant, he led all scoring with 16 points and added 7 assists.

This is the second time this season that Shaq Shannon has won the StatSheet NEC 6th Man of the Week. Ousmane Drame, a sophomore forward from Quinnipiac, is runner up. Travis Nichols, a senior forward from St. Francis (NY), receives honorable mention. Monmouth has yet to win StatSheet NEC Player of the Week.
